Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791)  He was born in Salzburg, Austria. His was already composing at age 5 and at 17 he was employed as the court musician in the music hall of Salzburg.  During his life he wrote over 600 classical works, including symphonies, concertante, chamber music, piano pieces, operas and choral music.  He is reputed to be one of the most enduringly popular of all classical composers.  His most productive years were in his adult life in Vienna.  His most famous works were piano concertos and symphonies.  He married in Vienna and the couple had six children.   His most popular symphonies were "The Marriage of Figaro," and the "Overture to Don Giovanni."
