I Met You in a Story

Prepare your child with classic literature excerpts, character-building stories, and activities that build research and literary skills and that strengthen him for the increased academic demands of the future. Some of the goals offered in this manual is to teach biblical principles and discernment for daily living; develop higher level thinking skills; build skills needed for lifelong learning; and to foster enjoyment and appreciation for reading and learning.

The Teacher's Edition is a two-book, spiral bound set that contains complete lesson plans for teaching the reader selections. Questions and teaching strategies are printed beside each full-color, 75% sized student page. A suggest Daily Schedule is also included along with Instructional Materials, a Table of Lesson Plans, Informal Placement Evaluation (IPE) instructions, and Structural Analysis.

The Appendix contains Bible Action Truths/Promises, Phonics Generalizations, Structural Generalizations, Remedial Service Word List, Teaching Visuals Index, Book Reports, Reading Contests, Classroom Management for Grouping, Evaluation Materials, Lesson Materials, and the Index.

Each lesson plan offers a list of materials needed, background information, vocabulary, and objectives. A "Before Silent Reading", an "After Silent Reading", an Overview Discussion, and a Follow Up Discussion are also part of each lesson plan.
